Carbide & Metal Assemblies:

Penn United Carbide manufactures assemblies of tungsten carbide and a customer specified metal alloy. These assemblies are used as a common method of overcoming certain design challenges in mechanical designs from both a mechanical and cost perspective.

Joining tungsten carbide to a metal component is used to address manufacturing issues regarding fabrication, assembly, and cost. Brazing, gluing, and shrink fitting are all common assembly methods. Shrink fitting is the most common and offers the broadest range of mechanical function.

Our Carbide Division provides a full range of tungsten carbide and metal components as well as design assistance to successfully incorporate carbide and metal precision assemblies into all types of challenging applications.

Rapid Response Services

Penn United Carbide recognizes many of the components we offer are critical to the operation and processing of highly valuable end products.  Customers are often dealing with project interruptions and line down situations that require maintenance or replacement of critical components.  In response to those situations, we created our dedicated quick-turn operations to ship preformed, sintered, and finished components within 5 – 7 days from customer request.

Quality Control

Penn United Carbide’s Quality Management System is registered to the International Standard ISO 9001:2015. Our quality system is designed to meet the growing demands of our customers for the specific quality requirement they expect in their products and from their suppliers.  Penn United Carbide has demonstrated a commitment to continual improvement and customer satisfaction through adherence to our qualified quality management system.
